Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited opened its 306th Keshabpur Branch at Keshabpur of Jessore on October 17, 2016 Monday. Prof. Syed Ahsanul Alam, Chairman, Executive Committee of the bank inaugurated the branch as chief guest. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, the inaugural ceremony was addressed by Md. Abdul Mabud, P.P.M., Chairman, Risk Management Committee, Md. Joynal Abedin and Prof. Dr. Md. Sirajul Karim, Directors of the bank, HM Amir Hossain, Upazila Chairman, Keshabpur and Md. Rafiqul Islam, Poura Mayor, Keshabpur as special guests.

On the occasion of opening of 306th Keshabpur Branch, a seminar on ‘Superiority and Success of Islamic Banking System’ was held at the Branch premises on October 16, 2016, Sunday. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO, of the bank presided over the seminar. Abu Naser Mohammad Nazmul Bari, Executive Vice President and Head of Khulna zone presented key note paper and Dr. Hasan Mohammad Moinuddin, Member, Shariah Supervisory Committee and Mowlana Mufti Md. Mafizur Rahman, Chief Muhaddis, Lauri Ramnagar Kamil Madrasah adressed in the seminar as discussants.
Prof. Syed Ahsanul Alam, as chief guest said, Islami Bank has been working as a growth engine of balanced and sustainable development of Bangladesh. More contribution in the GDP shall be enhanced through development of SME entrepreneurs, employment generation and women empowerment. Islami Bank has been working to minimize rich-poor disparity through elevating rural poverty and escalating overall living standard of all people, he said adding that the bank plays important role in ensuring distributive justice in production and investment.
Md. Abdul Mabud, PPM, said, Islami Bank has been working for ensuring happiness for hapless people of the country. We have to work together to fight against hunger and poverty he said and urged for employing our united ability to ensure mass-welfare for all in a bid to building a developed Bangladesh.
Mohammad Abdul Mannan in his presidential speech said, Islami Bank has been working for fulfilling the basic needs of every family in Bangladesh. The bank will play more roles in meeting the hope of mass-people of Keshabpur by extending its welfare services. He, however, called upon all to be attached with development activities of Islami Bank for the ultimate progress of the nation.
