Mohammad Abdul Jalil has recently joined Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd (AIBL) as Deputy Managing Director (DMD). Prior to this new assignment, he was the Executive Vice President of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd.
After completing BSS(Hon) and MSS from Economics Department of University of Dhaka Mohammad Abdul Jalil started his banking career with Uttara Bank Ltd in 1983. During his bright tenure of service, Jalil also worked with Bangladesh Krishi Bank and Bangladesh Bank.
In 1984, he joined Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) as a Probationary Officer. Mohammad Abdul Jalil served as Head of Treasury, Foreign Trade Operations, Remittance, Oversease Banking Division of International Banking Wing and also as Manager of several important branches of IBBL, the largest Islamic bank of the country. He is a Deplumed Associate of the Institute of Bankers’ Bangladesh.
Mohammad Abdul Jalil took part in a good number of professional training courses/workshops at home and abroad.
He visited USA, Italy, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, India and Nepal for professional and personal purposes.
