The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has awarded Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) the First Prize in Private Sector Banks (including cooperative banks) and SAARC Anniversary Award for Corporate Governance categories under ICAB National Award for Best Presented Annual Reports 2012.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, MP handed over the awards to Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of Islami Bank in a function at a local hotel recently. Mahbub Ahmed, Commerce Secretary, Md. Abdus Salam, FCA, FCS, President of ICAB, Abbas Uddin Khan, Chairman of the Review Committee for published Accounts and Reports of the ICAB and Moh. Shamsul Haque, Deputy Managing Director of Islami Bank were present on the occasion.
