Airtel signs agreement with Bank Asia

Airtel Bangladesh Limited, one of the fastest growing mobile service providers of the country recently signed an agreement with Bank Asia Limited to provide latter’s mobile banking services within Airtel network.

Bank Asia is soon going to launch its mobile banking service named “Hello” and Airtel customers will be able to enjoy the service by following a simple registration process.

Airtel is committed to bringing new features of mobile banking services and thereby ensuring better customer experience to enrich the lives of their customers.

Airtel signs contract with Bank Asia“Hello”will be available in Airtel network by mid May 2014. The signing ceremony took place at Airtel’s corporate office in Banani.

Ms. Rubaba Dowla, Chief Service Officer and Head of mCommerce, Airtel Bangladesh Limited and Mr. Md. Mehmood Husain, President and Managing Director Bank Asia Limited represented their organizations during the signing ceremony.

Along with them Mr. Syed Nazimuddin, Senior Executive Vice President, Mr. Khandaker Mujahidul Islam, First Asst. Vice President of Bank Asia Limited, Mr. Rafel Kabir, Managing Director, Mr. Salman Ibn Sobhan, Manager, Marketing of DNS and Mr. Mir Sadik Faisal, Senior Manager, Business Development, mCommerce Mr. Ruhullah Raihan Alhusain, Senior Manager, Operations, mCommerce, Mr. Tarikul Islam, Senior Executive, Operations, mCommerce of Airtel Bangladesh Limitedwere also present at the event.

Bank Asia mobile banking services will be launched with all features of general mobile banking including Cash in (Deposit), Cash out (withdrawal), fund transfer, mobile airtime recharge with additional features i.e. Corporate Salary Payment, Utility Bills/Service fee payment, Merchant Payment, ticket purchase (for transport/event); etc. “Hello” will offer interest/profit for customers and will be offering insurance coverage for customers, agents and other users in future.Airtel customers will be able to use the menu by dialing USSD short code *400# or *365# after registration. Customers will receive notification SMS after each successful transaction. Customer complaints and queries will be handled by dialing Bank Asia Limited contact center number 16365.

Along with “Hello”, Airtel customers can also avail Mobile Financial Services from DBBL, bKash, UCash and Mcash. Airtel customers also enjoy other mobile financial services like fuel payment, salary disbursement, superstore payment and donation service through Airtel mobile wallet.
