The country’s CNG refueling station owners have placed a 3-point demand to survive being upset at the ongoing political turmoil that has taken a heavy toll on their business. Their demands are rescheduling due payment against bank loan by at least one year without charging interest and taking interest in the block account, allowing payment of gas bills through installments for one year without disconnecting gas lines, refraining from treating any CNG station owners as loan defaulters until the return of a normal business environment. KrisEnergy ensures Tullow Bangladesh purchase

KrisEnergy Ltd has received approvals from the Bangladesh government and Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corp. for KrisEnergy’s purchase of Tullow Bangladesh Ltd. Tullow holds 30 per cent working interest and operatorship of the onshore Bangora gas producing field on Block 9, which is 50 km east of Dhaka covering 1,770 sq. km. Production started from Bangora field in 2006. The field lies in a gas province with substantial gas infrastructure, KrisEnergy said. AHRC wants UN role to stop bloodbath in Bangladesh

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has requested the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon to take all possible measures to stop the daily bloodbath taking place in Bangladesh.

The AHRC believes, without extraordinary effort, initiated by the international community, which includes the Office of the UN Secretary General, the enormous scale of violence and brutality in Bangladesh will continue to escalate, says a press release.

The Asian human rights watchdog in a letter to UN Secretary General pleaded the UN attention about the alarming reality in Bangladesh.
