Managing Director/President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Axiata Group Berhad, Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim, has wrapped up a daylong visit to Bangladesh with a pact schedule.
During his visit, Tan Sri Jamal presided over review meetings to assess Robi’s business operation. He also attended an iftar gathering organized by Robi Axiata Limited where he exchanged views with a number of key Bangladeshi stakeholders.
Hon’ble Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Posts Telecommunications and Information Technology, Imran Ahmed, MP, Hon’ble State Minister, ICT Division, Zunayed Ahmed Palak, MP, High Commissioner, High Commission of Malaysia in Dhaka, H. E. Nur Ashikin binti Mohd Tiab, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, Kazi M. Aminul Islam, Vice Chairman (Acting Chairman), Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission, Md. Jahurul Haque, Chairperson, Bangladesh Competition Commission, Md. Iqbal Khan Chowdhury, and Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed along with Robi’s senior management team members were present at the Iftar programme.
High officials from National Board of Revenue and Japanese Embassy in Bangladesh were also present on the occasion.

Robi Axiata Limited (“Robi”) is a subsidiary company of the Asian telecom giant, Axiata Group Berhad based in Malaysia. Robi is the second largest mobile network operator in Bangladesh. Robi has introduced many first of its kind digital services in the country and has invested heavily to take its mobile network to the underserved communities even in the rural areas.
