The Bourse Program 2016 was jointly inaugurated by Mr. Mohammed Nurul Amin, Chairman, Executive Committee, Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers Association (BAFEDA) and MD. Meghna Bank and Mr. Abrar A. Anwar, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh (StanChart) on 14th February 2016 at the Six Seasons Hotel.
Md Ali Hussain Prodhania, Chairman of Technical Committee, BAFEDA and Mr Alamgir Morshed, Head of Financial Markets, Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh were also present in 
the inauguration ceremony. 48 participants from 40 state owned, private commercial and Foreign banks of the country attended the program.
Mr. Mohammed Nurul Amin, Chairman BAFEDA in his speech mentioned that since inception BAFEDA is arranging training programs every year for development of the country’s foreign exchange market. This program is one imparting training for Officers of Treasury Division of different banks. He mentioned that foreign exchange and transactions has increased much than before which is a good sign of our economy. He said that the Treasury Management is very critical for banks operation and this requires specialization and proficiency as the market is growing with new products. He hoped that acquiring knowledge from this program the Officers will implement their expertise in their working places for local and international operation. He expressed his gratitude and thanks to Standard Chartered Bank for arranging such a nice training program.
Mr Abrar A. Anwar stated that Standard Chartered Bank is delighted to get the opportunity to hold this program jointly with BAFEDA for the 3rd time. This is a 5 day long training program on Foreign Exchange Rates and Dealings, Treasury Management, Risk Management and all Treasury Related issues. Mr Abrar A. Anwar also said, Standard Chartered Bank has been operating in Bangladesh over 110years and is very committed to the Market Development of this country. Standard Chartered Bank is the first bank to issue the First LC of the country and is accredited for many firsts in Bangladesh across all banking products like First ATM, First Syndication, First Derivatives. Abrar A. Anwar expressed his gratitude to BAFEDA for initiating such important programs with Standard Chartered Bank.
