Bangladesh flag campaign shortlisted for AMES award

The Bangladesh Flag Campaign, orchestrated by Robi Axiata Limited, in association with the Bangladesh Army, has been shortlisted recently for the prestigious 2014 AMES (Asian Marketing Effectiveness & Strategy Awards) in the Insights and Strategic Thinking category.

The Asian Marketing Effectiveness & Strategy Awards, based out of Singapore, is Asia Pacific’s premier awards honouring both clients and advertising agencies for effective marketing strategies.

2Robi is Bangladesh’s first ever shortlisted entrant and is up against global brands like P&G, Unilever, Nike, Pepsi and Google in its shortlisted category.

In total there are 1,208 entries from 20 Asian countries this year. The awards festival, conference and awards dinner will be held in Singapore in the last week of May.

The Bangladesh Flag Campaign, organized last year on Victory Day, saw nearly 30,000 volunteers from the Bangladesh Army, school children, and the general population, comprising mostly of the youth and enthusiastic professionals, coming together in trying circumstances to break a previous record held by Pakistan. The main objective of the attempt was not only to celebrate Victory Day in a glorious manner but also show the world the inner strength and unity of the people of Bangladesh.
