Bangladesh Resorts & Hotels’ new property in Bandarban

Bangladesh Resorts & Hotels, which is developing the country’s largest hotel – Royal Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa, at Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh – will next start the construction of their third hotel project at Bandarban Hill District in the country. According to Mohammed Aminul Haque Shamim, Managing Director, Bangladesh Resorts & Hotels, they will be developing a luxury holiday resort in Bandarban with duplex villas and five-star facilities.

Five-Star-hotel“Bandarban is known as a paradise on earth considering the scenic terrain and panoramic nature. We have 20 acres of land. Considering the eco-sensitive nature of the place, we will be setting up luxury villas with five-star facilities there,” Shamim said.

Speaking about their ongoing project, Shamim said that Royal Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa is a 30-minute drive from Cox’s Bazar at Inani, which is a beach destination, known for its rich coral wealth and turquoise water. “Cox’s Bazar is known all over the world for its longest beach. Its 120-km-long unbroken beach is the world’s longest. Royal Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa is spread over 12 acres of land with a 493-room hotel, and water park. It is the largest hotel development in Bangladesh,” he said.

The facilities include two large swimming pools, including one infinity pool, huge spa, billiard room, fitness centre, amphitheatre, landscaped garden, three restaurants, and children’s play zone. The property also houses a water park.

Shamim said that 90 per cent of the work has been completed and they are hopeful of opening Royal Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa in the first quarter of 2015.

About the tourism scenario in the country and government support to the same, Shamim said that the government is proactive and aggressive in developing tourism infrastructure in the country. “An international airport is coming up in Cox’s Bazar. With that, accessibility by means of road, sea and air would be strengthened,” he elaborated.

Bangladesh Resorts & Hotels, part of Adecco Holding Ltd., ventured into the hotel business 11 years ago with a three-star property, Hotel Sea Crown Cox’s Bazar.
