Bangladeshis killed in Abu Dhabi fire

Ten people, including Bangladeshi expatriates, were killed in a fire incident in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates on early Friday.

The Bangladesh embassador in Abu Dhabi Mohammad Imran fire1confirmed the accident. However, he could not initially provide details of how many Bangladeshi died in the incident.

The fire broke out in a tyre manufacturing factory near Mussafah area in the capital Abu Dhabi at 3:00am Friday.

Witnesses said some Bangladeshi expatriates of Chittagong region had been living there.

The Bangladesh embassy officials have visited the scene to identify the dead bodies and to take necessary steps.
