Bank Asia has declared 10 per cent stock dividend for the year 2013 at the 15th Annual General Meeting of the Bank held today (Monday, 31 March, 2014) at Lady’s Club, Dhaka.
Mr. A. Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of the Bank presided over the meeting. With 10 per cent stock dividend, the paid-up capital of the Bank would increase to Tk. 7.63 billion and total capital to Tk.15.57 billion. Vice Chairmen Mr. A.M. Nurul Islam and Mr. Mohammed Lakiotullah, Directors Mr. Mr. Mohd. Safwan Choudhury, Mr. Rumee A. Hossain, Mr. Mashiur Rahman, Mr. M. Irfan Syeed, Mr. Shah Md. Nurul Alam, Ms Sohana Rouf Chowdhury, Ms. Sabrina Chowdhury and President & Managing Director Mr. Md Mehmood Husain were present at the function.
There was a large turn-out of the shareholders in the annual general meeting. They expressed satisfaction at the overall performance of the Bank and approved the accounts for the year 2013. The meeting started in the morning with chorus of national anthem rendered by artists of Bank Asia and all the shareholders stood and lemd voice to the national anthem.
