The service tenure of Mr. Md. Mehmood Husain, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia has been extended for another three years. Mr. Husain joined Bank Asia in August 2011 and played a significant role for the growth and restructuring of the Bank.
Mr. Mehmood Husain, a post graduate in Economics from the University of Dhaka, started his banking career in 1984 with National Bank as Probationary Officer. He has to his credit 30 years of long and diversified banking experience. He was previously Additional Managing Director of Prime Bank.
A widely travelled person, Mr. Mehmood Husain attended a number of professional workshops and seminars at home and abroad. He is the Member of Board of Governor of the Association of Bankers Bangladesh (ABB), Member of Council of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (IBB) and life member of Bangladesh Economic Association. He is associated with various social organizations.
