The phrase “Chacha, where is Hena?” has recently taken social media by storm, flooding Facebook posts, memes, and even political discussions.

The dialogue originates from the 1996 Bangladeshi film Premer Somadhi, starring Bapparaj and Shabnaz. A clip from the film recently went viral, sparking a wave of memes and video content.

In the viral scene, protagonist Bakul (played by Bapparaj) returns home after a long time and sees his beloved Hena’s (Shabnaz) house beautifully decorated. Confused, he asks Hena’s father, “Chacha, why is the house decorated? Where is Hena? Why aren’t you speaking?” Hena’s father replies, “Forget Hena, she is married now.” Shocked and heartbroken, Bakul refuses to believe it and emotionally exclaims, “No, Hena can’t be married. I don’t believe it, I don’t believe it!” As the scene intensifies, the song Premer Somadhi Bhenge, Moner Shikol Chhire, Pakhi Jay Ure Jay plays in the background.

Now, after 29 years, actors Bapparaj, Naim, and Shabnaz have recreated this iconic scene in a humorous video, much to the delight of fans.

In the new clip, Bapparaj is seen driving a car, parking it, and dramatically jumping out before asking Naim, “Naim Bhai, where is Hena?”

Naim responds, “Bappa, you are too late.”

Shocked, Bapparaj asks, “Why?”

Naim then drops the bombshell: “I married Hena a long time ago.”

Hearing this, Bapparaj screams, “No, I don’t believe it!” and breaks down. Naim hugs him and pats his back to console him. Meanwhile, Shabnaz, standing nearby with a group, starts singing Premer Somadhi Bhenge, Moner Shikol Chhire, Pakhi Jay Ure Jay.

The video has gone viral, with social media users flooding the comment section with humorous remarks. Some jokingly wrote, “Finally, Bapparaj found Hena after 29 years, but it was too late—Hena had already chosen Naim!”

The clip was filmed at Saheb Bari in Tangail, a residence owned by Naim. The actors had gathered there for an event, during which they spontaneously decided to create the fun content.

Directed by Iftekhar Jahan, Premer Somadhi was released in 1996, with its story, dialogues, and screenplay written by Delwar Jahan Jhantu. Now, nearly three decades later, the film has once again captured the hearts of audiences in a completely new way.
