Zelensky a ‘Dictator’: Trump

International Desk:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is a dictator, said U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a BBC report.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote that if Zelensky does not take immediate action, Ukraine will not survive.

Labeling Zelensky a dictator, Trump stated, “I love Ukraine, but Zelensky has done terrible things. His country has been destroyed. Millions of people have died unnecessarily.”

He further mentioned that the United States is actively engaged in negotiations to end the war with Russia.

Zelensky’s presidential term officially ended in May last year. Since Russia’s invasion in February 2022, Ukraine has been under martial law, leading to the postponement of presidential elections.

Meanwhile, reports suggest a possible meeting between U.S. President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Speaking at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach on Tuesday, Trump hinted that the meeting could take place before the end of the month.

On the other hand, Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his willingness to meet with Trump.

On Tuesday, the Kremlin stated that Putin is ready to negotiate with Zelensky if necessary to bring an end to the Ukraine war. However, Putin has repeatedly questioned Zelensky’s legitimacy in the past.
