British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB) has won Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Award (AREA)-2015 for its safe drinking water project “PROBAHO” as one of the best CSR projects in Asia.
The award was hand over to BATB in a grand program in Macau recently.
BATB has installed 59 water filtration plants in 13 districts to make water free from arsenic under its flagship CSR project “PROBAHO”. All these filtration plants purify 300,000 liters of drinking water meeting the needs of 150,000 people every day.
BAT group has recognized BAT Bangladesh for this project with global EHS excellence award in 2013.
