Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman as Chief Guest spoke at a seminar on ‘Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Measurers of Financial and DNFBP Sectors: Bangladesh Perspective’ organized by the Institute of Chartered 
Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) at CA Bhaban on Wednesday, 20 May 2015.
The Governor applauded the role of CAs and said that Chartered Accountants are the Gatekeepers in accounting profession of the country.
DG, ACC Brigadier General (Retd) M H Salahuddin was present as Special Guest while the seminar was conducted by ICAB President Masih Malik Chowdhury FCA. Council Member & Past President-ICAB Md. Syful Islam FCA presented the keynote paper in the seminar. A panel of discussants including Murad Reza, Addl. AG, Ali Reza Iftekhar, chairman ABB and MD Eastern Bank, M Mahfuzur Rahman, BB Executive Director, Quazi Shirajul Islam, president of Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association, Priyani Malik, World Bank financial sector specialist, and Khurshid Alam Khan, ACC panel lawyer attended the program.
