Student wing of Awami League, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit on Sunday organised a rally protesting threat to kill its General Secretary (GS) Siddiqui Nazmul Alam by ‘Ansarullah Bangla Team: 13’.
Around 12.00 pm, about hundred JU BCL leaders and activists brought out protesting 
procession from transport area and ended at Amar Ekushe premises after parading the main streets on campus. Then a rally was held at the same place.
Adressing at the rally, speakers demanded to the government that immediate identification and arrest of the senders and to ensure exemplary punishment.
Earlier, the outlawed Islamic outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team’ death threatened at least 25 renowned personalities through a letter including BCL General Secretary Siddiqui Nazmul Alam.
Among others, led by JU BCL general secretary Rajib Ahmed Rasel, office secretary Saif Uddin, Organiging Secretary Foysal Hossain Dipu and Murshidur Rahman, joint secretary Mithun Kundu, literature secretary Sanoar Hossain, Ashfiq Sarkar, secretary Mir Mosharraf Hossain Hall unit were present at the protesting rally.
