Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital (ShSMCH) in the city this afternoon to see the injured of the recent nationwide mayhem.

Fears grip Russian region bordering Ukraine

On May 12, Alexander’s apartment shook and his window shattered as his city of Belgorod, in the Russian region bordering Ukraine, came under attack. “The neighbouring building was badly damaged, and two or three buildings along the roof had collapsed,” said the 31-year-old IT worker to talk about the damage to the apartment, but she did not pick up. Jamaat to be banned by Wednesday: Anisul

The government of Bangladesh is set to ban Jamaat-e-Islami through an executive order by tomorrow, announced Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq on Monday.

“The Prime Minister has ordered me to take steps in this regard by tomorrow. When you ban any party, you have to do it through an executive order. I would hold a meeting with the Home Minister in this regard a little later and would take a decision on legal ways to do this,” Minister Huq stated while addressing the press at the ministry. VPNs increase cyber risk: ICT Minister

State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has warned that using VPNs increases cyber risk.

He made these remarks during a press conference following an exchange meeting on cybersecurity at the ICT Tower in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Tuesday, reports media. Sit-in at DMCH thwarted by police

Police on Tuesday blocked a silent sit-in demonstration by parents in front of the main entrance to Dhaka Medical College Hospital to protest against the killing of students and innocent people during the recent quota reform protests.
