E-commerce fair ‘E-fiesta’ held at BRAC University
BRAC University Business Club (BIZ BEE) and the students of BRAC Business School (BBS) have successfully organized a day-long e-commerce fair ‘E-fiesta’ on Thursday at the university auditorium.
The objective of this fair was to promote the concept of e-business and e-commerce among the future business leaders, to encourage the E-Business courses offered by BRAC Business School among the students and to create a platform for the e-commerce initiatives run by the current students of BRAC University for upgrading and endorsing themselves.

SJIBL awards scholarships among students
Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd (SJIBL) awarded scholarships among the brilliant and poor students of the country. In connection to this, the bank arranged a scholarship awarding ceremony on Saturday at the BanghabandhuInternationalConferenceCenter in the city.
A total of 500 students of different Colleges, MedicalColleges and Universities received the scholarship for their brilliant result. Each student received onetime taka fifteen thousand for SSC level and taka twenty thousand for HSC level, says a press release.
AK Azad Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Lted presided over the ceremony while the Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Atiur Rahman was present as Chief Guest on the occasion.
Students urged not go to brokers for US visa assistance
Consul General of the US Embassy in Dhaka Jamie Fouss on Thursday suggested Bangladeshi students interested to study in the United Sates not to go to brokers for assistance and refrain from submitting false statements saying it may permanently damage a student’s opportunity to study there.
“I want to leave you with this strong message for both visitors and student visa applicants. No one should ever pay a broker for a guaranteed visa. These brokers can’t deliver,” he told reporters at a press conference at the American Centre.
Fouss said false stories and fake documents often end up with a refusal and a permanent mark against the applicant, reports UNB.

RU students protest mismanagement, substandard dining in halls
The residential students of Ziaur Rahman, Shamsuzzoha and Nawab Abdul latif halls at RajshahiUniversity on Tuesday went on demonstration protesting mismanagements in halls and to enhance food quality of the hall dining.
