IBFB members to get preferences for US Visa
The US Consul General in Bangladesh Jemmy B Fouss said that the IBFB Members will get some preferences and facilities to apply for and obtain US Visa. He also declared that IBFB Members, applied through proper channel, will get appointment for US Visa purposes from the US Embassy within 2 days of their submission of application.
In addition, any IBFB Member having US Visa from January 2008 and onward will get special facilities to renew their visas within 3 days. The Consul General was addressing as the chief guest in a seminar on “How to apply and obtain US Visa” recently organized by IBFB Chittagong Chapter at Hotel Agrabad in Chittagong.
Textile machinery fair to begin in city
The eleventh edition of Bangladesh’s leading international fair of textiles and garment technology, machinery and parts, the Dhaka International Textile and Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG 2014), is all set to begin from February 12 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital city of Dhaka.
Organized by the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), with the support of Chan Chao Int'l Company Ltd and Yorkers Trade and Marketing Services, the fair scheduled to run till February 15, 2014, is an ideal platform for Bangladesh exporters to come into contact with manufacturers, regional agents and wholesalers of high quality machinery, equipment and materials for textiles and garments.
Tourism Fair kicks off in Chittagong

Visitors’ turn out breaks all records at Dhaka trade fair
The daily turn out of visitors broke all previous records at Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF' 14) on Friday. The fair has turned into a get-together for the city dwellers on the third public holiday after the country’s biggest trade show began on January 11.
Encouraged by favourable weather, political stability and eye-catching recreation centres for children, thousands of dwellers especially youths along with their friends and family members flocked the ticket counters rushing to enter the fair premises at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the city, reports BSS.

DITF kicks off in city
The 19th edition of the annual event of the month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF), 2014 began here on Saturday which is expected to help restore confidence among the business community apart from boosting trade ties with foreign partners.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair, a platform for both local and foreign producers to showcase the products, at city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on the grounds to the west of the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the morning.
