DRC-ICAB elects new Chair, Secy for 2016
The 36th Annual General Meeting of Dhaka Regional Committee (DRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) was held recently at ICAB Auditorium of the Institute. The meeting approved and adopted Financial Statements of DRC for the year 2014-2015. In the meeting Mr. Md. Al Amin Siddiki FCA and Mr. Md. Sarwar Hossen FCA were elected as Chairman and Secretary respectively for the year 2016 of DRC-ICAB.
Mr. Amin Siddiki enrolled into chartered accountancy in the year 2006 and became an associate member in the year 2010 and a fellow member in the year 2015. He has been actively engaged in various standing and

Bangladesh’s Rajshahi Diocese celebrated its silver jubilee on Friday with a solemn Mass presided over by Cardinal Fernando Filoni, the Prefect of the Vatican's Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.

Vatican official to visit Bangladesh
The Vatican official overseeing the Catholic Church’s evangelizing and missionary activities worldwide, on Wednesday begins a 10-day visit Bangladesh, India and Nepal. In the first leg of his visit, Cardinal Fernando Filoni, the Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples will be in Bangladesh Sept. 9-13, where he will visit Dhaka Archdiocese and Rajshahi Diocese.

A man who created a nonprofit organization credited with helping more than 150 million people out of poverty was named the winner of the 2015 World Food Prize on Wednesday.
