The ceremony took place at Bangabhaban on Thursday evening, starting at 9:00 pm. Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus emphasized the importance of restoring law and order in the country and urged that no harm be inflicted on anyone. "Place your trust in me," he appealed, referring to the mass uprising led by students and the public as the "second independence." He stated, "We must safeguard this newfound independence."
