Seminar on ‘Bangladesh-China Trade Finance’ in Kunming

  International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) - Bangladesh, The world business organization is organizing jointly with ICC China and CCPIT a Seminar on Bangladesh China Trade Finance : Role of Banks in Kunming, China on 21-22 August 2015. A total of senior level 44 bankers from 18 Banks including Bangladesh Bank will be participating at the Seminar. This is for the first time that ICC Bangladesh is organizing such a high level Seminar outside the country. South African Deputy Minister to arrive today

The Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation’ Ms Nomaindiya Mfeketo’ will pay working visits to Bangladesh and Nepal from Wednesday to Friday this week. It will be the first ever visit by a South African Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation to both countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1994. The Third Senior Officials Meeting between South Africa and Bangladesh will also take place on Wednesday in Dhaka. Dhaka, Delhi to fight fake currency

The joint task force of Bangladesh and Indian signed a joint declaration to tackle smugglings and counterfeit currency in the two countries. “The second such top security-level formal talks between the two countries especially on fake currency signed a joint declaration to work together against fake currency notes,” Additional Inspector General of Police M Moklesur Rahman told journalists on the second-day of the three-day bilateral meeting held at Police Headquarters in the capital city today, reports BSS. Inspector General, National Investigation Agency (NIA) is leading the 15-member delegation of India.

Bangladesh-Vietnam talk trade ties

They vowed to lift bilateral trade to 1 billion USD by 2016 from 800 million USD in 2014; convene the third meeting of the Joint Committee on Economic, Trade, Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation soon; and launch a policy consultation mechanism between the two Foreign Ministries. They agreed to effectively realise a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on agriculture, fisheries and animal livestock and another MoU on rice trade. Bilateral trade between BD, Malaysia to improve in 2H15

Bilateral trade between Malaysia and Bangladesh, which fell 26.4% as of May this year, is expected to improve in the second half, amid a better economic environment.
