Europe panicked over India’s pharma export curbs
India’s top pharmaceuticals export group said the government’s curbs on some drug exports amid the spreading coronavirus outbreak has caused panic in Europe and will “severely impact” businesses in the sector.
India, the world’s main supplier of generic drugs, has restricted the export of 26 active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and the medicines made from them, in a move seen aimed at tackling possible domestic shortages of medicine during the outbreak, reports Reuters, New Delhi.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines will refund to its passengers who, bought tickets for traveling to Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah or tourism purposes, as the Saudi government has imposed a temporary ban on Umrah pilgrims and tourists to stop the spread of coronavirus in the Kingdom.

GE selected to develop power plant in BD
In its continued efforts to provide the most advanced energy solutions to Bangladesh, GE Power (NYSE: GE) today announced that it has been selected by Unique Group, to develop the 600 megawatt (MW) natural gas based combined cycle power plant at Meghnaghat, near Dhaka, Bangladesh. Unique Meghnaghat Power Limited (UMPL) will be executing the project. The power plant will produce power equivalent to the electricity needed to supply about 700,000 homes in the region.
