India believes in peaceful co-existence and does not interfere in the internal matters of its neighbouring countries, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today (Sunday) said.
“We believe in peaceful co-existence with our neighbours. We do not interfere in any internal matter of our neighbouring countries in any way,” Shinde said at a joint press conference with his Bangladesh counterpart Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir here, reports the Business Standard.

Malaysian Premier arrives amid cordial reception
The red carpet was rolled out as Malaysian Premier Najib Razak and his spouse Rosmah Mansor arrived in the city this evening on a three-day official visit to Bangladesh.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received her Malaysian counterpart at the VVIP Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8.05 pm. Two tiny tots welcomed the Malaysian Prime Minister, his wife and entourage with bouquets.
Ministers, advisers to the Prime Minister, the chiefs of the three services, the Malaysian High Commissioner in Dhaka as well as high civil and military officials were present on the occasion.

US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal has said the delay in reaching a consensus on a framework for an interim government to oversee the next election may push Bangladeshi citizens to take to the streets to express their frustrations.
“The longer the two sides cannot agree on a framework for an interim government to oversee the next election, the more likely Bangladeshi citizens will take to the streets to express their frustrations,” she wrote in her Nov-15 (op-ed) write-up ‘Fighting for Democracy in South Asia: The Great Debate ’.
Malysian PM due tomorrow, hopes further bilateral ties
Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak’s official three-day visit to Bangladesh beginning tomorrow will further enhance relations between the two countries.
A Malaysian Foreign Ministry statement said the visit will seek to broaden and deepen the existing cooperation between Kuala Lumpur and Dhaka as well as to provide an excellent opportunity for leaders of both countries to exchange views and achieve closer understanding on issues of mutual interest.
“The prime minister’s visit to Bangladesh underlines the importance which Malaysia attaches to its relationship with Bangladesh,” the statement said.
