Bangladesh company to build textile factory in Ethiopia

BDL Group, a Bangladesh-based company, is going to build a textile and garment factory in Mekele town of Ethiopia with over 765 million Birr. Appetite for project loans wanes

Businesses’ appetite for term loans, typically used for major investments or acquisitions, shrank in the first half of the fiscal year, due mainly to the unstable political climate in the lead-up to national elections. Between July and December last year, banks disbursed Tk 21,565 crore in term credit, down 1.77 percent year-on-year, according to central bank statistics. The UK Immigration officers arrested four Bangladeshi illegal workers in Uttlesford following a raid in Thaxted. On Friday evening (December 6) by Home Office immigration enforcement officers swooped on the India Villa in Watling Street. They were acting on intelligence.
