PM made a member of UN panel on water

The United Nations (UN) has appointed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina (MP) as one of the members of a high-level UN panel on water. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim yesterday announced the appointment of 10 heads of state and government, as well as two special advisors, to the panel, according to the UN headquarters. BPC, Indian Oil ink LPG terminal, pipeline deal

Flagship refiner-marketer Indian Oil Corporation has inked an MoU with Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation to examine the possibility of jointly working on setting up a LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) import terminal at Chittagong port and other downstream infrastructure in that country. New bus added to RU transport service

Rajshahi University authorities launched a new bus at the university transport services onTuesday. Vice chancellor of Rajshahi University Prof Muhammad Mizanuddin inaugurated the bus in front of the university administrative building while Pro-VC Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan and treasure Prof Sayed Uddin Ahmed, among others were present.  Professor Muhammad Mizanuddin said, to mitigate the sufferings of the students, we have launched a new bus.  Now, the university transport service has total 39 buses.
