Women chamber holds meeting with State Minister Finance
A meeting was held between State Minister Finance MA Mannan and Board of Directors of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) to share about women entrepreneurship development related issues in Bangladesh.
The BWCCI team comprised of 7 members including Selima Ahmad, Founder of BWCCI and Sangita Ahmed, President of BWCCI along with other board directors, says a press release.
BWCCI to promote SMEs through SS-Gate
Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) signed a working agreement with The South-South Global Assets and Technology Exchange (SS-GATE), a UNDP project to promote Bangladeshi SMEs specifically in the southern region of the world. The signing ceremony took place in Doha, Qatar on the first day of the First Arab States Regional South-South Development EXPO, 18 February to 20 February 2014.

Banking system liquidity worries FBCCI
The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) expressed its concern over the banking system liquidity generating from inertia of the businesses to invest in productive sectors.
“Although the target for the growth in private sector credit flow was fixed at 15.5 percent from July-December in 2013, the credit flow at that period was not that satisfactory due to the absence of proper infrastructure as well as business friendly environment caused by political uncertainty,” the apex trade body said in a statement on Thursday.
