A high level delegation team of Yunnan Government Financial Affairs Office of China today visited Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) to discuss establishment of regional stock exchange and BCIM (Bangladesh, China, India, and Myanmar) activities.
They were welcomed by BSEC Chairman Professor Dr. M. Khairul Hossain at the BSEC office.
The delegation team led by Yang XiaoPing, President Director of People’s Bank of China reached Dhaka yesterday.
The delegation team will also meet Dutch Bangla Bank, BIIS, Bangladesh Bank, DSE and CSE. CSE is playing the organizer role of the visit.
BSEC showed positive interest on establishment of regional stock exchange and confirmed its assistance in BCIM activity. The meeting also focused on cross border trading, listing and relationship building between the stock exchanges of two countries. BSEC Commissioners Md. Helal Uddin Nizami, Md. Amzad Hossain, Arif Khan, Md. A. Salam Sikder and CSE Chairman Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mazid were also present at the meeting.
