A complaint has been filed against ABM Khairul Haque, the former Chief Justice and recently resigned Chairman of the Law Commission, accusing him of allegedly engaging in fraud to manipulate a judgment.
Md Mujahidul Islam, a lawyer at the Bangladesh Supreme Court, lodged the complaint on Sunday afternoon at Shahbagh Police Station in the capital.
However, the complaint has not yet been officially registered as a case due to the absence of the Officer-in-Charge (OC) at the police station, according to Sub-Inspector (SI) Elis Mahmud.
Sources at the police station claim that Justice Khairul Haque unlawfully ruled in favor of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to keep her in power. It is expected that the lawyer’s complaint will soon be converted into a formal case.
