The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has urged the government to extend the time for submitting income tax returns till December 31, 2013.
Currently, the last date for submission of income tax return is December 1, 2013.
A release of the apex trade body on Thursday said that there was no adequate response in income tax return submission so far, as political unrests hampered the activities of the businessmen.
Besides, the last date for online registration for income tax is December 31, 2013.
Therefore, the FBCCI urged the government to extend time for income return submission for the third time till December 31.
