Chuadanga Correspondent:
A total of 3,882 metric tons of urea, 883 metric tons of TSP, 804 metric tons of MOP, and 1,384 metric tons of DAP have been allocated for the farmers of Chuadanga district through fertilizer dealers till March 16.
This information was disclosed at a meeting of the Chuadanga District Fertilizers and Seeds Monitoring Committee held on March 16. The meeting was presided over by Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Jahirul Islam.
It was addressed by UNO of SadarUpazila M Saifullah, UNO of Alamdanga Upazila Sheikh Mehedi Islam, Damurhudaupazila UNO TithiMitur, JibannagarUpazila UNO Al Amin, Additional Deputy Director of Agriculture Department Debashish Kumar Dash, Additional Deputy Director (crops) of Agriculture Department Krishna Roy, Chuadanga Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Afrin Binte Aziz, Alamdanga Upazila Agriculture Officer Rehena Parvin, Jibannagar Upazila Agriculture Officer Alamgir Hossain, Bangladesh Fertilizer Association, Chuadanga Unit President Ali Akbar, its general secretary Abdul Bari, Chuadanga Press Club general secretary Bipul Ashraf and Boishammo Birodhi Chhatra Andolon convener Aslam Hossain Arko.
It is learnt that there is no crisis of fertilizers in the district. Farmers are getting fertilizers through the dealers according to their needs.
