Four banks distribute warm clothes for cold-hit people

Bank Asia, Islami Bank Bangladesh, Dhaka Bank and Al-Arafah Islami Bank distributed warm clothes among the cold-hit people of the country.

Islami Bank

Winter cloth distribution program of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has been going on across the country. As parts of country wide program, Mymenshing Branch of the Bank distributed winter clothes among orphan children of An-noor Furkania Moktob of Rahmatpur Boishakhai village, adjacent to Mymenshing town recently.

Md. Motiar Rahman, Senior Vice President and Head of Mymeshing Zone of the Bank was present in the function as chief guest. Boshir Ahmed, Vice President of the Bank and Branch Manager, clients and customers, and local elites were present on the occasion.

A Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of Bank Asia Ltd is distributing blankets among cold-hit villagers of Malkhanagor under Sirajdikhan upazila, Munshigonj Recently.

Mirpur-1 Branch of the bank distributed winter cloths among the cold stricken poor people of the locality. Md. Shahidullah Khandakar, Senior Vice President and Head of Mirpur Branch of the Bank was present in the function as chief guest. Md. Mojnujuzzaman, Vice President of the Bank and Branch Manager, clients and customers, and local elites were present on the occasion.

Wizeghat Branch of the bank distributed winter cloths among the cold-hit poor people of the locality recently. Md. Forkan Uddin Nizami, Vice President and Branch Manager of the Bank, clients and customers, and local elites were present on the occasion.

Islami Bank has taken initiative to distribute winter clothes among two lac and ten thousand cold suffering poor people this year throughout the country. The bank distributes winter clothes every year as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program. Branches of the Bank have been distributing winter clothes among the clod suffering destitute people at their respective areas.

Bank Asia

Bank Asia Ltd under its CSR program has distributed blankets and other warm cloths among severe cold-hit poor and marginalized people in different parts of the country including Munshigonj, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Bogra, Naogaon, Pabna, Jessore, Barisal, Kishoreganj, Noakhali and Chandpur districts.

A. Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of the Bank, inaugurated the warm cloth distribution program by donating blankets among 600 cold-hit people at Malkhanagor Branch premises of Munshigonj district recently. Vice Chairman of the Bank Mohammed Lakiotullah, Board Audit Committee Chairman of the Bank Rumee A. Hossain, Director Shah Md. Nurul Alam, Deputy Managing Directors Aminul Islam and Md. Arfan Ali and Sirajdikhan Upazila Chairman Mohiuddin Ahmed were present.

Besides, warms cloths in Rajshahi, Bogra, Dinajpur, Pabna, Naogaon, Noakhali, Kishoregonj, Barisal, Jessore, Noakhali and Chandpur were distributed with the help of the Bank’s rural branches and local volunteer organizations. In response to Bangladesh Bank, Bank Asia handed over blankets to the regulatory body and Association of Bankers Bangladesh (ABB) for distribution among destitute.

Al-Arafah Islami Bank 

Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited is distributing blankets among the cold effected people throughout the country. Recently  Engr. Kh. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Director of the Bank inaugurated the Blanket Distribution Program organized by AIBL Panchdona Branch, Narsingdi. Among others, Senior Vice President & Head of AIBL Dhaka South Zone Md. Majibar Rahman was present on the occasion. The program was organized by Md. Shahidul Islam, Manager of AIBL Panchdona Branch.

As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Bank is providing more than 5 thousand blankets to the poor of 23 districts of the country. Selected 38 branches of the Bank are carrying on the program.

Dhaka Bank

Khondker Fazle Rashid Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Limited has recently handed over blankets to A.F.M Asaduzzaman General Manager of Bangladesh Bank for the distressed cold-stricken people of the country recently at Bangladesh Bank Office.

High officials of both organizations were present during the handover.
