Following the murder of two foreigners, authorities have issued maximum security at Benapole border.
Commanding officer of 26 BGB battalion Lt Col Jahangir Hossain, confirmed the information saying that Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) and immigration police are strongly monitoring the flow of people in the border.
The order was issued Tuesday morning.
The murder of Italian national Cesare Tavella and Japanese national Hoshi Kunio has caused agitation throughout the country. Many countries issued warning s for their citizens living in Bangladesh and asked them to remain very careful.
The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday briefrd diplomats on the security measures taken and also on the progress in the investigation of the murder.
