Md. Nurul Islam, Deputy Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jaiz Bank of Nigeria. He is discharging this duty on deputation to materialize the agreement between IBBL and Jaiz Bank for Management and Technical support.
Under the agreement, signed in 2011 IBBL will provide support to Jaiz Bank in various issues including supply of experienced manpower, training of Jaiz Bank employees, updated information and communication technology infrastructure development, initiate marketing plan and strategy for business of Jaiz Bank and implementing a proper management structure for an ideal Islami Bank and forming an effective Shari’ah Supervisory Board.
Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Senior Vice President, Md. Shakil Mahmud, Senior Principal Officer and Md. Towhidur Rahman of Islami Bank are working on deputation in Jaiz Bank.
Earlier, Islami Bank organized one week training for top executives of Jaiz Bank in November 2009.
