Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) opened its 299th Branch at Bhawanigonj of Rajshahi on September 7, 2015 Monday. Eng. Md. Enamul Haque, Member of Parliament, Rajshahi-4 inaugurated the branch though mobile conference as chief guest.
Presided over by Muhammad Abul Bashar, Deputy Managing Director of the bank, Humayun Bokhteyar, ACPA, FCA, Director of the bank addressed the program as special guest.
Md. Faizul Kabir, Executive Vice President and Head of Rajshahi Zone delevered welcome address while Md. Abdur Razzak Prang, Mayor of Bhawanigonj Pourasava, Md. Jahangir Alam Helal, President, Bhawanigonj Chamber of Commerce addressed. Local businessmen, professionals, officials of the bank and local elites were present in the program among others.
Earlier, a seminar titled “Superiority and Success of Islami Banking” was took place on Septermber 6, 2015 on the occasion of branch opening while Md. Faizul Kabir, Executive Vice President and Head of Rajshahi Zone presented a paper on the topic. Humayun Bokhteyar, ACPA, FCA, Director of the bank addressed the seminar as chief guest. Presided over by Muhammad Abul Bashar, Deputy Managing Director of the bank Prof. Dr. A.S.M. Toriqul Islam, Member of Shariah Supervisory Committee discussed on the topic.
