A meeting of the Shari`ah Supervisory Committee of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was held on Sunday (May 11, 2014) at Islami Bank Tower in the city.
Mufti Sayeed Ahmad, Vice Chairman of the Committee and Head Mufti of Al Jamiatus Siddikiah Darul Ulum presided over the meeting. Professor NRM Borhan Uddin, Ph.D, Chairman, Audit Committee, Humayun Bokhteyar, ACPA, FCA, Director of the Bank was present on the occasion.
The meeting was attended among others by Prof. Dr. Abu Bakr Rafique, Member Secretary of the Committee & Pro VC of International Islamic University Chittagong, Principal Mohammad Serajul Islam, former Principal, Madrasah-E-Mesbahul Ulum, Md. Abdur Rakib, Former Executive President, Dr. Hasan Muhammad Moinuddin, Associate Professor of International Islamic University, Chittagong, Dr. Moulana Md. Abdus Samad, Associate Professor, Dept. of Arabic Language & Literature, International Islamic University Chittagong, Dhaka Campus, Moulana Muhiuddin Rabbani, Muhaddis, Fayzul Ulum Madrasha, Azimpur members of the committee. Mohd. Shamsul Haque, Md. Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, FCA, A.K.M. Abdul Malek Chowdhury, Nurul Islam Khalifa, Deputy Managing Directors and Md. Shamsul Huda, Executive Vice President of the Bank aslo attend the program.
The meeting took various decision on compliance of Shari`ah and expressed satisfaction in overall activities of the Bank.
