LG, JAAGO to build ‘LG IT Academy’

LG Electronics Bangladesh and JAAGO Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for establishing “LG IT ACADEMY” for the children at JAAGO School on Tuesday July 19, 2016. The initiative will facilitate the children to have ICT education for competing in the digital era.

Managing Director of LG Electronics Bangladesh Edward Kim and Founder and Chairman of JAAGO Foundation Korvi Rakshand signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides in a MoU signing ceremony held in JAAGO office at Rayerbazar, Dhaka.

Managing Director of LG Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd. Kwi Chun Kim and Chairman of JAAGO Foundation Korvi Rakshand signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides. Mahmudul Hasan Head of Consumer Electronics of LG Electronics Bangladesh was present on the occasion.

Head of Consumer Electronics of LG Electronics Bangladesh Mahmudul Hasan, Assistant Manager Monowar Hussain and Senior Manager (Partnership & Branding Department) of JAAGO Foundation Nusrat Jarin were present on the occasion.

Under the MoU JAAGO Foundation will establish an IT Academy named ‘LG IT Academy’ at it’s Rayerbazar Campus with the donation of LG Electronics Bangladesh. Through this academy children can learn about usage of computer and information technology. The establishment works will be completed by December 2016 and The Academy will be opened in January 2017.

Edward Kim, Managing Director of LG Electronics Bangladesh said “LG Electronics Bangladesh is trying to bring comfort and ensure sustainable development in human life through its electronic innovation. We also believe that poverty can be eradicated through education.

He said, “JAAGO Foundation is doing excellent job to provide and maintain quality education for underprivileged children in Bangladesh. We hope that this LG IT Academy can provide quality IT education to the children and will enlighten their life. We are very happy to contribute here.

Korvi Rakshand, Founder and Chairman of JAAGO Foundation in his speech said, we have promises to help the disadvantaged children to build the foundation for their future through education. The LG IT Academy will help our children and definitely bring outstanding change in their life. We and every children at JAAGO school are really grateful to LG Electronics Bangladesh for the financial aid.
