N’ganj City Press Club gets new body

Saifullah Mahmud Titu has been elected as the President and Syed Sifat Al Rahman Lincon has been elected as the General Secretary for the first time in the festive atmosphere of Narayanganj City Press Club election.  Shafiqul Islam Arju has also been elected as the vice-president.

Voting for the Press Club election held at Narayanganj Rifle Club on September 19 lasted from 10 am to 3 pm.  Chief Election Commissioner Ejaz Qureshi announced the results after counting the votes.

Saifullah Mahmud Titu got 29 votes and his nearest rival Habibur Rahman got 21 votes.  Shafiqul Islam Arju got 38 votes as the vice-president and his nearest rival Uttam Saha got 24 votes.  Syed Sifat Al Rahman Lincoln received 30 votes as general secretary.  His nearest rival Abdul Al Mamun got 12 votes and Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan got 6 votes.  There will be victory and defeat in the election, so it cannot be said to be bad.  The officials of the newly elected committee called upon all to work in a united manner.
