Bangladeshi company Pran-RFL Group is implementing a joint venture project to assemble bicycles for exporting to 29 countries, including the ones in Europe and America.
‘b’fair’, a bicycle brand of Asian Nordic Group, is now being assembled at the Habiganj factory of Pran-RFL. Asian Nordic Group will be responsible for marketing the product.
The first consignment of the bicycles will be sent in four months, according to an announcement of the company.
Its officials also said a poor Bangladeshi child will be provided with financial support for education and food from the profit of the bicycle project.
‘b’fair’ bicycles will be marketed to 29 countries, by the Asian Nordic Group, managing director of Nordic Group Henrik Bach told a function in Dhaka on Wednesday.
“The first consignment is scheduled to reach Denmark in four months,” he added.
The function was organised to launch the bicycle project at the Dhaka residence of Danish ambassador Hanne Fugl Eskjaer.
Promod Mankin, state minister for social welfare, attended the function as the chief guest and appreciated the business initiative.
The ambassador said b’fair bicycles bore a Danish tradition. She mentioned that bicycle is popular in Denmark and so is the case in Bangladesh now.
