Recently one of Bangladesh’s largest bank, Jamuna Bank Limited has joined forces with IT Consultants Limited (ITCL) and specialist insurance providers MicroEnsure, to launch a free insurance scheme offer to all their Debit Card holders through “Protection Plus”.

This innovative and unique product, a first-of-its-kind in Bangladesh, offers free transaction-linked life insurance benefits to all Jamuna Bank’s account holders, and has been designed with simplicity and ease of access in mind.
The level of free life insurance offered to each customer is linked to the total value of transactions through a Jamuna Bank debit card via a POS machine each month meaning that “Protection Plus” will provide the dual benefits of savings and security all in one.
