Robi Career Carnival at Dhaka University

Robi Axiata Limited, the second largest mobile operator in terms of revenue, in collaboration with Business Faculty of Dhaka University has organized a unique day-long “Robi Career Carnival” at the Dhaka University. This program was organized to familiarize the students of Dhaka University with the employment opportunities at Robi.

_DSC2249As part of the event, an MoU was signed between Robi and the Business Faulty of Dhaka University to facilitate internship opportunities for DU students at Robi. The Robi student portal was also inaugurated.

Students were informed on the job opportunities available at Robi. Additionally, there were a number of workshops organized to introduce various techniques on preparing CVs, writing cover letters and preparing for job interviews.

Mr. Matiul Islam Nowshad, Chief Corporate and People Officer (CCPO) spoke in the inauguration session and Mr. Supun Weerasinghe attend the closing session at evening.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Matiul Islam Nowshad, Chief Corporate and People Officer (CCPO) of Robi said that “Robi is constantly looking for young energetic talents to help the company grow. The Robi Career Carnival is intended to raise awareness among the students of Dhaka University on the job opportunities available at Robi and also to inform them of the kind of skills that we look for while recruiting. We plan to hold such events in future with other leading Universities of the country as we scout the country for worthy talents to help us transform into a great company.”

Mr. Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business, Dhaka University, said “This career carnival will certainly make it easy for our students to find their start in their career. Such events dispel all misconceptions about finding a job and help them plan their career. I would like to thank Robi for their support in organizing this event.”

From Robi Mr. Sayed Talat Kamal, VP, Corporate Communications & Media Relations, and Ms. Sharmin Sultan, VP, Resourcing, were also present at the event.
