Robi Axiata Limited, one of the leading mobile phone operators organized a day long program named “Robi Career Carnival” at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) on 27 October, 2014. Robi organized this program to make the students of CUET aware of the career opportunities available with the company and the industry at large.
The day-long event was packed with a lot of interesting activities for the students. Robi had set up Career Booth inside the campus where information regarding internship opportunities as well as regular employment scopes was informed to the students. Besides, an on campus recruitment test was conducted for CUET students interested to join Robi as part of the career carnival.
Separate student sessions titled “Career at Technology” and “Alternate Career” were organized as part of the event. In these sessions high level officials from Robi shared their experience in developing their career in the field of mobile technology. Moreover, CUET students were also made aware of career opportunities beyond mobile technology within the mobile telecom industry.
In addition an open discussion was organized for CUET students to share knowledge and experience on career planning and development. Following a workshop on Career Development a quiz competition was held for the students. As a measure of facilitating experience on real life problems a Case competition was organized. Students took part in the competition in small groups. They were expected to come up with innovative solution to real life problems faced by the experts of the industry. At the end of the competition, prize was distributed to winning groups.
Similar activities were held at East Delta University at the port city on 26th October 2014, Sunday. A career workshop was also organized at the Asian University for Women on the same day.
Meanwhile, Robi has organized an interesting fun activity for the students of the said universities on its official facebook page. The students were asked to spot the difference between two pictures that was uploaded in the facebook Robi fanpage.

We believe that through this career carnival students from CUET have had a very clear idea about Robi as a prospective employer and how they need to prepare themselves in order to join and excel in their career with this thriving industry.”
