Robi starts collecting DESCO bills

Leading mobile phone operator Robi has started collecting bills on behalf of Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) from the 1st of April 2016. The mobile based bill payment system will be available to customers seven days a week, enabling them utmost convenience in paying their monthly electricity bills.

Gone are the days when the DESCO customers had to dedicate a significant part of a day standing in the queues of local banks just to pay off their outstanding electricity bills. Much to Robi eSheba @WhatsAppthe delight of the customers, Robi’s bill payment system will provide necessary notification to the customers to help them make their timely bill payment. With more than 800 Robi Cash Agents located all over the capital city, electricity bill payment has become a fun experience for the tech savvy customers.

Launching of the service for DESCO will certainly be regarded as a major milestone in the company’s quest to lead the industry in life enriching digital services. It is expected that the urban clients of DESCO who are used to the fast paced lifestyle will be greatly benefitted from this customer centric service. Customers without having any mobile phone will also be able to pay their DESCO bills from any of the authorized Robi agent points having Cash Point logo

Robi is extremely proud to have emerged as the leader in providing the Bill Payment Service for the clients of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) in all the six billing regions (i.e. Chittagong, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Comilla, Sylhet, and Rangpur) and also for the clients of Chittagong WASA. DESCO bill pay service is the latest addition to the company’s rich and exciting portfolio of bill payment services.
