Leading mobile phone operator Robi Axiata Limited distributed new clothes as Eid gifts among children undergoing treatment at the Cancer ward of Shishu hospital in the capital today. The gifts were given as part of the company’s Ramadan campaign aimed at enabling distressed children to enjoy the ensuing Eid festival.
Befitting with the theme of the campaign “In this Eid, who will you make smile?” the clothes distribution program is set to bring smiles to thousands of under privileged children across the country. The campaign which began on 1st July, enabled Robi subscribers who recharged BDT 28 or BDT 58 to be a partner in this noble endeavor.
While distributing the clothes Chief Executive Officer of Robi Axiata limited Supun Weerasinghe hoped the children at the hospital will have the touch of festivity in wearing the new clothes. He said, ‘ the campaign has also enabled thousands of subscribers to contribute towards bringing smiles in the faces of the distressed children”.
