After the six month training course, students were provided with internship opportunities at Samsung’s service centres for one month. The objective of this program is to create a skilled talent pool of manpower for Bangladesh service industry. Through this program, Samsung strives towards bridging the skills gap between the industry requirements and what the academia produces. Initially, 75 students got enrolled in the diploma program, out of whom, 72 passed and received the certificates. 32 graduates have already been employed, out of whom 12 at Samsung’s service centres.

“I was always concerned with the uncertainty of the job market after my graduation. But after the ARISE program provided by Samsung, I received training to improve my technical skills and actual experience through the internship at Samsung. And after graduation, I got a job to work at Samsung – which is great!”, says Razib Ahmed, a graduate of the ARISE program currently employed at one of Samsung’s service centres. Omar Faruk Rasel, another graduate working at Bengal Communications at present stated, “I am grateful to have received such an opportunity. Often with a little help, we can realize our true potential and self-worth, and this is what Samsung’s ARISE program has offered”.
