RU likely to increase seat this year
The authorities of Rajshahi University (RU) have decided to increase seat for first year honours courses under 2015-16 academic sessions in newly launched seven departments of the university those were approved in the universities 461st syndicate meeting on 29th August.
The decision came out on Monday night in a meeting of admission committee with RU vice chancellor Professor Muhammad Mizanuddin in the chair, confirmed RU public relation administrator Professor Elias Hossain.

Indian L&T to build Bangladesh power plant
Indian engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday said it has bagged a Rs 1,700 crore order from Japan’s Marubeni Corporation to set up a 400-MW gas-based power plant in Bangladesh.
“Bangladesh Power Development Board awarded the EPC contract for setting up the 400-mega watt (MW) gas-based power plant project to Marubeni Corporation of Japan, which in turn awarded the EPC sub contract to L&T on a turnkey basis,” L&T said in a BSE filing.
