IU 37th Founding Anniv observed

Students, teachers, officials, staffs and well-wishers of the Islamic University (IU), Kushtia observed its 37th founding anniversary and 38th IU Day amid great passion, festivity and optimism yesterday. The celebration was started by hoisting national and university flags at 8:30am on the day. University vice chancellor Prof Harun-ur-Rashid Askari hoisted the national flag while pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman hoisted the university flag. The British Council, in partnership with Bangladesh Shishu Academy, today has launched a new nationwide reader development programme titled ‘Story Time’ for the primary and secondary level students in Bangladesh.
