State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that mobile internet services will be restored by July 29. But access to social media sites, including Facebook, will be restricted.
He briefs the media at the BTRC building in Agargaon on Wednesday.
Palak said that the government has been working to restore the internet services as quickly as possible. “By tonight, full broadband internet services will be available at homes," he added.
Meanwhile, limited broadband internet services were restored from July 23 night, five days after the initial disruption.
However, mobile internet services remain suspended, and social media sites including Facebook and Instagram, remained inaccessible.
