TEXAPP to discuss Bangladesh textile, apparel sector

TEXAPP Bangladesh 2014 – Bangladesh Textile & Apparel Forum, which is expected to bring together Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry leaders and machinery importers of Bangladesh under one roof, will be held from September 3, 2014, in Dhaka.

Bangladesh-rmg-workerThe event, being organized on the sidelines of the 15th TexTech Bangladesh 2014 International Expo, will discuss several issues related to the Bangladesh apparel industry and also deliberate on how to further take the industry forward in the coming years. The conference is being organized by CEMS-Global USA and The Daily Star.

TEXAPP Bangladesh 2014 – Bangladesh Textile & Apparel Forum is expected to set the stage for the Bangladeshi textile and apparel industry & machinery importer leaders to focus, discuss, decide and set goals for the future of the exports of their industry from Bangladesh to the world. The event will be a platform for a strong cooperation within the Bangladeshi textile and apparel industry, according to the organizers.

The conference will also address issues related to forming of a common position of the Bangladeshi textile and garment industry in the Global arena, set development goals in a phased manner, enhance competitiveness of the industry in Bangladesh, boost inter-regional trade with an aspiration to expand present capacities for increasing textile and readymade garment (RMG) exports.

Based on the discussions held at TEXAPP Bangladesh 2014, ‘VISION 2022’ will be launched to further take the country’s textile and clothing industry forward in the coming years.

The textile and apparel industry of Bangladesh has a tremendous potential, but a proper reform, strategy, coordinated effort and plan needs to be adopted at the earliest by the industry leaders to exploit the full potential. It is here that the role of machinery sector becomes important as latest technology is very much essential to keep Bangladeshi textile and garment sector at par with international competition.
